Blogmas Day 8: Sleeping Aid

With the stress that I have been feeling lately (Check out yesterday's post about my favourite on-the-go Stress Relief Aid), falling asleep has becoming a problem too. It takes me a long time to fall asleep, and I would wake up in the middle of the night as well. So I have been looking for products that would help my bedtime routine.

This Works Deep Sleep Night Oil and Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
- from This Works Sleeping Partner gift set - from SpaceNK - £29

I bought this set for my Gift Guide over £25 post, and I have been using the combo ever since.
I massage the oil to my legs, arms and hands (layer hand cream on top for extra treatment). I would use it on my face and neck too before I got the Kiehl's face oil below. It has a very relaxing smell, it is a dry oil so it is easily absorbed by skin and is not greasy at all. The oil protects my skin from the drying radiator heat.

I give a few spritz over my pillow to let the mist fall. (Spray directly onto pillow makes my pillow wet & cold, not nice to sleep on). The spray doesn't make me fall asleep quicker, but it will make me sleep through the night instead of waking up in the middle of the night.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate face oil - Kiehl's - £36

I have heard so many amazing thing about this face oil, and I bought this with 20% off discount when I went to Lily Pebble & Ann's meetup at Kiehls Covent Garden (blog post here). Beautiful blend of essential oils. It is a dry oil so is easily absorbed by skin and not greasy at all. The smell is incredibly relaxing. I use it alone after I cleanse my face, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels supple and soft.

As you can tell, I am really into beautiful blends of oils this winter. Every night, I really look forward to my oil time. They remind me of relaxing spa/ massaging experience...

What makes you relax and helps you sleep?

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
