Foodie Friday #21 : Shoryu, Carnaby Street : The importance of great customer service

What makes a restaurant stand out? The variety of food? The quality of food? The price? The location? All these are important. But for me, a great customer service definitely lurks me back more than anything else.  I have talked about Shoryu Ramen before because of their delicious ramen ( post here ). Shoryu has opened their 3rd branch at the quirky Carnaby Street about 3 months ago. So I went to try the other day with my sister +Cynthy Chui  .

Foodie Friday #18: Jamie Oliver Barbecoa at St Paul's, London

November is my birthday month (yay!). If you want to take a look at what I got for my birthday, I have a post about my birthday goodies here , there are more pictures & more birthday goodies on my instagram  as well. And a birthday cannot be complete without a good meal! On a sunday night, Scott took me to Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa - a restaurant that we have been dying to try for ages!! We were just waiting for a good excuse and a good time! The view from our table

Foodie Friday #12: Kettner's, Soho, London

It was just a usual dull but busy day at work,  I got an email from Scott my boyfriend saying "hey, I got a treat for you tonight!" I scrolled down the email, he had made a booking a Kettner's in Soho! I have heard so much about this famous restaurant, and I have been wanting to try for ages!! We arrived at 7pm, a little early for our 7.30pm booking, so we went to the bar for a drink first. The bar area had the usual various high & low table, but they have a couple of booths that you can book with friends!

Foodie Friday #10 : Pimm's popup summer garden

"What time is it?"  "It's Pimm's o'clock!" If you don't know it already, Pimm's has set up their first pop up Indoor summer garden on Long Acre (Leicester Square end). But you have to be quick, it is only there from 19th-29th June.

Foodie Friday #5: The Cut Bar at Young Vic Theatre, Waterloo

Having been lived in London for the past 10 years, I have never been to the Young Vic Theater ever. My sister (@beautyorbread) has once told me how good the little restaurant is inside the theatre. But that was a few years back. For some reason, Young Vic was never on my map.

Foodie Friday #2 : Jamie's Italian at Shepherds Bush Westfield

Jamie Oliver is probably one of my favourite TV chef. I started watching his cookery shows since Naked Chef, and watched almost every single shows after that - from the straight forward cookery show to the more documentary series of training young chefs and revolutionising school dinners. Jamie's restaurants empire is growing in England, and they are about everywhere, even at the airports.

Tuesday means... Steak night at Wetherspoon!

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.
