From Day to Evening: 5 mins makeup freshen up

How do you freshen up your make up if you need to go out straight after work? In the past, I had been dusting powder all across my face, and topped up a bit of blusher and lipstick. But my skin was not happy, my face would feel dirty and blocked that it couldn’t breath. Not until recently a skincare expert told me that told me that I really should take my makeup all off and re-apply if I need to go out in the evening. But how am I going to do it when I am at work or out and about all day? It sounds such a hassle!! However, I have finally found my tricks so I am going to share with you today. It’s all about organisation and I generally carry quite a few of the products in my handbag daily anyway.

Dior Trianon DiorBlush in Pink Reverie

I cannot believe it is March already! The London weather is still deciding its mind as to whether to let Spring arrives or not.. One day it is sunny with blue sky, the next day it is grey, wet and windy, but I am unconsciously changing my makeup to more Spring like. At the very least, I am more drawn towards lighter colours nails (see my posts here  and here for my favourite transitional nudes at the moment). When Escentual.com had a 25% off on everything in late February, I had a random browse and saw Dior’s Trianon DiorBlush was still available! With the 25% off discount code, I could not pass up the chance to buy it! The Trianon collection is Dior’s Spring 2014 edition. It was released in mid-January. There are two blushes in the collection: 763 Corail Bagatelle and 946 Pink Reverie.

What's in my bag? My Anteprima Lucchetto

If you have seen my Hong Kong Haul , you would know that my biggest and the most extravagant spent is my Anteprima bag. I love it so much that I want to dedicate a blog post on it and show you what's in it!

Blogmas Day 5: Dior Creme de Rose Lip Balm

The rumour IS TRUE! Dior Cream de Rose Lip Balm works magic! It is worth £20 for the decent size pot! For a long time, I was just like all the other beauty bloggers and YouTubers… I have all sorts of lip balms already, do I REALLY need another one? Yes, it's from Dior, but it is £20!! £20 for a lip balm? Really??

Dior Holiday 2013 Nail Polish : Dorific Vernis No. 993 Minuit

Autumn in England (borderline drop us straight into Winter) has finally upon us. This has definitely put me in the mood of dark nail colours. The latest launch of Dior's Golden Winter (Holiday) Collection 2013 has four nail colours and a bottle of crystal pearls topping. The one I picked up is Dorific Vernis No. 995 Minuit.

Current Makeup Staples #1

Almost every beauty blogger blogs about their monthly favourites each month. I could never do that because when I like something, I tend use the same thing daily for 3 months or longer, that I do not wish to change them. So if I were to do monthly favourite, you would probably see the same things on every month continuously, which won't be very interesting to read. So what I have decided to do is to have a "Current Makeup Staples" series, where I share with you what I have been using for the past several months. I plan to have a post approx every 3 months, that coincides with the change of season, when I tend to switch up my products or discover something new. In this first post, I am going to share with you the products I use every time when I do my makeup, whether it is day or night look, weekday work or weekend casual look.

The Pink that Suits You - Bourjois and Dior

When I first started wearing makeup, pink lips & pink blush would be my default colour. Pink is pretty & girly, I thought it was a foolproof colour on everyone. But it is not until when I started looking at drugstore or at any make up counters that I realised there are 50 (and more) shades of pink in this world! I was confused as to how would I know which shades suit me & which shades I should avoid? It made me wonder - what if there is a blush or a lipstick that could cleverly adapt & transform their colour  to suit my skin tone ? I think I have prayed so much that someone must have heard it.

Review & Swatches: Dior Mystic Metallic Bonne Etoil Eyeshadow

When I first saw this Dior eyeshadow palette on Allison's blog (aka Amarixe ), I knew instantly that I HAVE TO get it, whatever it takes. I researched everywhere online, it was exclusive to Nordstrom website for a while before hitting the counters, I thought "if it was exclusively in America, no way that it is going to be available in UK any time soon" So you could imagine my excitement when I opened the Selfridges email and saw it is now exclusively at Selfridges!
