The Pink that Suits You - Bourjois and Dior

When I first started wearing makeup, pink lips & pink blush would be my default colour. Pink is pretty & girly, I thought it was a foolproof colour on everyone. But it is not until when I started looking at drugstore or at any make up counters that I realised there are 50 (and more) shades of pink in this world! I was confused as to how would I know which shades suit me & which shades I should avoid?

It made me wonder - what if there is a blush or a lipstick that could cleverly adapt & transform their colour  to suit my skin tone ? I think I have prayed so much that someone must have heard it.

High end brand Dior and more affordable drugstore brand Bourjois both have their take on skin adaptation blusher & lip products, the colour will "react" with your skin to give a "personalised" shade. They are definitely an "one shade (in the pot) fits all (colour transformation)" products.

Bourjois Blush Exclusif

This is a cream to powder blush.

The colour looks pale & nude in Bourjois little signature round pot. When applied, it gives a "self adjusts into a personalised bespoke pink".

The self adjust quality is due to the pH-reactive pigment in the blush. Like all Bourjois cream blush, it is very easy to blend & colour is buildable.

Bourjois Rose Exclusif Lipgloss

With the same pH-reactive pigment technology, the clear lipgloss will self adjust to a bespoke pink when applied to lips!

What's more, it has anti-oxidant vitamins E & C, and provides 8 hour moisture. The texture is not sticky, very comfortable to wear.

Diorskin Rosy Glow blusher

You will fall in love with this blusher by just looking at it. Regardless the self adjust quality, the pink in the pan is too beautiful on its own, with Dior's silver lid packaging, it is a dressing table display or a handbag touch-up show-off must have!

This rosy pink blush reacts to the moisture of the skin to give a tailor-made natural glow to the cheeks. The Dior brush is not bad at all! One sweep that would deposit the right amount of product. Perfect blusher on the go.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Lipbalm

"Colour Awakening" is the phrase for this lipbalm. Again the balmy Lip Glow reacts to the chemistry of the lips to enhance the natural lip colour.

It goes on sheer but after a couple of seconds as the colour develops, it gives a slight tint to the lips. It makes your lips look healthy and hm... "just bitten" is probably an accurate description. No need to use mirror on application (Let's pretend you do need a mirror, the perfect show-off would be the Rosy Glow blusher compact!). It is very comfortable to wear & moisturising on the lips.

I think pink is an all-year round colour, it makes skin look fresh, healthy, youthful, and gives an instant glow.

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
