Gone for the days that we cannot order liquids on Sephora, or cannot visit the Marc Jacobs boutique if you are not in London… Marc JacobsBeauty is now available from John Lewis !!! They are available online or in selected stores.

Since Charlotte Tilbury launched her own makeup range a year ago , her products have right away become the most lust after products. The most “wow” piece would have to be the famous Filmstar Bronze & Glow . Not only the products are amazing in quality, but also the gold vintage packaging is lush!! I would love to carry it round with me but it's slightly big for handbag & it's not like I need to top up bronzer & highlight throughout the day. I was thinking, "if the size can be smaller, handbag friendly & with products that I can use on the go, that would be a dream come true" And recently my dream did come true! The answer is Filmstars on the go Palette .

To be honest, I first bought them because they are like Pokémon – Once you have a couple, you need to collect them all! Since I already have Bourjois Cream Blushes in no. 1-4, I am obliged to have no 5 and 6.

Apart from tons of makeup, every beauty addict will have countless brushes too! Today I am sharing my 5 favourite brushes and what products I use them with.

No, you didn't read my title wrong. Marc Jacobs Beauty Counter has secretly come to the capital! It is the counter, the actual COUNTER that you can touch and try out the products! I cannot believe no one has mentioned it!!!

It’s Current Staples time again! (Check out my previous Current Makeup Staples post -> here ). If you are new to my blog or to this series, let me explain - My makeup routine doesn’t change that much. If I like a product, I could use the same thing straight for 2 or 3 months, despite I have enough makeup to supply a village! So in F&B here, I don’t do Monthly Favourites (because it will be the same thing every month), instead I do Current Staples every 3 months or so to share what I have been using. If I reach for the same product(s) for 3 months straight, I know (and you know) it’s a good one!! So let’s get started!

How do you freshen up your make up if you need to go out straight after work? In the past, I had been dusting powder all across my face, and topped up a bit of blusher and lipstick. But my skin was not happy, my face would feel dirty and blocked that it couldn’t breath. Not until recently a skincare expert told me that told me that I really should take my makeup all off and re-apply if I need to go out in the evening. But how am I going to do it when I am at work or out and about all day? It sounds such a hassle!! However, I have finally found my tricks so I am going to share with you today. It’s all about organisation and I generally carry quite a few of the products in my handbag daily anyway.

I cannot believe it is March already! The London weather is still deciding its mind as to whether to let Spring arrives or not.. One day it is sunny with blue sky, the next day it is grey, wet and windy, but I am unconsciously changing my makeup to more Spring like. At the very least, I am more drawn towards lighter colours nails (see my posts here  and here for my favourite transitional nudes at the moment). When Escentual.com had a 25% off on everything in late February, I had a random browse and saw Dior’s Trianon DiorBlush was still available! With the 25% off discount code, I could not pass up the chance to buy it! The Trianon collection is Dior’s Spring 2014 edition. It was released in mid-January. There are two blushes in the collection: 763 Corail Bagatelle and 946 Pink Reverie.

When I received the dispatched email from Space NK, I was like, "What? Really?? Sure??? Have they got my order mixed up???" At the time when I ordered the Nars One Night Stand palette, the estimated re-stocking time was  1st Dec 2013 . That was why when I got the dispatched email two days later, I couldn't believe my eyes! I felt like I have won the lottery!

I believe people know about the brand Japonesque for their makeup tools - soft brushes, dinky travel brushes set, customisable palettes. But how many of us know Japonesque do cosmetics as well?! They have recently launched their full makeup line exclusively at John Lewis. 

When I first started wearing makeup, pink lips & pink blush would be my default colour. Pink is pretty & girly, I thought it was a foolproof colour on everyone. But it is not until when I started looking at drugstore or at any make up counters that I realised there are 50 (and more) shades of pink in this world! I was confused as to how would I know which shades suit me & which shades I should avoid? It made me wonder - what if there is a blush or a lipstick that could cleverly adapt & transform their colour  to suit my skin tone ? I think I have prayed so much that someone must have heard it.

The recent exciting news in the makeup world has to be the launch of Charlotte Tilbury's make up range. The official launch of the complete range was at 9am on Monday 2nd Sep. With the high end brands such as Dior and Chanel have gradually launched their summer collection/ limited edition recently, drugstore brands have launched their own limited editions too! The two brands that caught my eye are Sleek and Barry M.   Eye Palette from Candy Collection Sleek has launched a limited edition collection called "Candy". The Candy collection has a lip paint, an eye shadow palette & a blush palette. I am not a fan of lip paint. The colours in the eye palette are too colourful & too vibrant for my style, they are beautiful tho. However the blush palette are the star in the collection. I am a big fan of Sleek's blush palette, I have almost every palette.
