Blogmas Day 1: Current Favourite Accent Nail: Essie Stroke of Brilliance & Rimmel Rhythm & Blues

My current favourite accent nail combo is Rimmel Salon Pro by Kate in Rhythm & Blues (Boots £4.49) and Essie's Winter Limited Edition in Stroke of Brilliance (Boots £7.99).

After missing out on Essie After School Boy Blazer, I became obsessed to find a good navy black colour to fill the hole. Then I saw Rimmel's Rhythm & Blues! The colour was everything that I hoped for: dark navy, almost black, but it still shows a hint of blue under different lights. Flat brush makes applying the polish really easy. It lasts for 4-5 days without chipping. And it's only £4.49!!

When I saw Essie's Stroke of Brilliance, the platinum blue chunky glitter look unusually beautiful in the bottle. The blue tint compliment so well with Rhythm & Blues. Stroke of Brilliance is a clear base glitter, so you need the patience to build up the layers to make your nail look like the intensity in the bottle. I did 4 coats for mine, but it is worth it, the pale blue glitter looks so pretty & different!!

What is your favourite accent nail combo?

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.
