Blogmas Day 14: Too Faced A Few of My Favourite Things Palette

If you have been reading a couple of beauty blogs, or any beauty blogs in the past few weeks, you won't miss this beautiful palette - Too Faced: A Few of My Favourite Things palette.

It is the biggest palette from Too Faced Xmas 2013 Collection. The eye-catching pink and gold zig-zag pattern was designed exclusively for Too Faced by celebrity decorator Mary McDonald.
This huge palette covers all bases, it has 20 eyeshadows, two blushes, two bronzers, a lip colour and a mascara, all come inside a very cute pouch with the matching exclusive design.
The palette have some beautiful eyeshadow colours. They are in a variety of textures: matte, satin & glittery. All of them are in great quality & pigmented. But the best thing of this palette is the names of the eyeshadows! They are all from the Sound of Music lyrics "A few of my favourite things". They are such cute names: Whisker of Kitten, Crisp Apple Strudel, Blue Satin Sashes. The names themselves already make this palette so attractive to have!
2 blushes, 2 bronzers and an idea booklets

The two blushes on the left: Raindrops on Roses (what a cute name!) is a rosy pink with hint of gold shimmer, while Melt into Spring is more matte and peachy.
Two bronzers on the right: Chocolate Soleil at the top is matte, Sun Bunny below is a beautiful two-toned bronzer with shimmer.
There are more goodies Inside the pouch! One exclusive lip colour bomb called "Bee Sting". It is a sheer lip balm crayon.
And the 'Better than Sex" mascara, which I have not yet tried.
The cute pouch just finishes off the whole set nicely.

What I really love about this palette is that the colour selection of the eyeshadows are balanced, it has lots of neutral wearable colours yet some more vibrant colours for special look. The blushes & bronzers have choices of shimmer and matte, and different shades. The thin sleek palette in the fitted pouch is a great travel kit for a long haul holiday - you will never run out of ideas as to what look to create! This is a superb starter kit for teens or a great addition to existing collection.

I didn't swatch the colours - but I would refer you to Makeup Geek's website, Marlena has done some great and detail swatches of all the eyeshadows of the palette

Go and check out Jen From Head to Toe's video too! She interviewed the founder of Too Faced Jerrod Blandino to chat about all the Too Faced palettes and other fun stuff!

I stumbled across mine at Debenhams on Oxford Street, as it was always out of stock on Debenhams website. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw it hiding in a corner! But what made it better was Debenhams was doing a 15% off on their beauty products! So this palette was reduced from £48 to £40.80!!!

Have you bought anything from the Too Faced Xmas Collection?

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.
