Foodie Friday #14 : The Food Garden Cafe at Selfridges , London

From time to time, I will have nights where I am on my own, not wanting to go home just yet after work. In these nights, my favourite place to go is Selfridges. And in these nights, my favourite place to eat is The Food Garden Cafe - the top floor food court inside Selfridges .

Meeting Lily Pebbles at John Lewis: Grazia Beauty Event 25 July 2013

I was so excited when I saw Lily Pebble's post that she was going to be part of the Grazia Beauty event at John Lewis! (Lily's original post here ) She was one of my favourite YouTuber and blogger that I have been followed for some time. How could I missed an opportunity to meet her in person! Now the event itself. It was hosted by Grazia Beauty at John Lewis, an evening to talk everything about beauty. Ticket was £10 each, but it was redeemable against any purchase on the night. I arrived at the 3rd floor brasserie of John Lewis Oxford Street. I was meet & greet by the staff with a glass of bubbly.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Foodie Friday #13 : The Top Floor Restaurant inside Peter Jones Department Store, Kings Road, Chlesea

I know what you are thinking, "restaurant inside Peter Jones?!" Technically, it's not even a restaurant,  it is a food court style canteen. So why it can make it into the Foodie Friday feature? As the name suggested, it is on the to floor of Peter Jones Department Store (part of John Lewis Partnership).  The whole space is light & airy flooded with natural light.

Review & Swatches: Makeup Geek USA

I follow quite a number of beauty channels on YouTube. One of my favourite channel has to be Marlena from Makeup Geek in America. I admire Marlena so much - she runs a successful YouTube channel, building on her youtube success, she manages to launch her own makeup brand & turn it into a successful business! In her videos, she demo her own brand "makeup geek" eye shadows in lots of tutorials, the colours look amazing! I am so tempted by them. So I have finally gone on to her website & ordered a few things. I ordered the 9-eye shadow starter kit & four brushes.

Foodie Friday #12: Kettner's, Soho, London

It was just a usual dull but busy day at work,  I got an email from Scott my boyfriend saying "hey, I got a treat for you tonight!" I scrolled down the email, he had made a booking a Kettner's in Soho! I have heard so much about this famous restaurant, and I have been wanting to try for ages!! We arrived at 7pm, a little early for our 7.30pm booking, so we went to the bar for a drink first. The bar area had the usual various high & low table, but they have a couple of booths that you can book with friends!

Breakfast with my Tiffany nails: NYC nail polish

Never pay attention to the brand NYC in Superdrug. Perhaps it's because their products are so cheap in prices, that I automatically assume they are aimed at the teenage market. Not until recently I read  Fleur de Force 's post about their  Tiffany blue nail polish . I love Tiffany's jewelry & their packaging (who doesn't?!) I HAVE to check this out!

Foodie Friday #11 : Le Vieux Comptoir, Marylebone Village, London

If I say French cuisine, what would come to your mine? Good food & wine but.... expensive? Heavy? Michelin star? Formal? My sister (@beautyorbread) & I found this french wine shop with a restaurant in the basement called Le Vieux Comptoir at Marylebone Village. It was located about 100 meters from the famous Ginger Pig butcher.

Makeup Lego : Jouer Little Black Dress Palette

I love Lego and I love Makeup - what if there is a Lego in the makeup world....?! Jouer Cosmetics has made this dream come true, especially with the two palettes that they have: Blushing Beauty Collection and the Little Black Dress palette. A few YouTubers like Essie Button , Fleur De Force , and Ameila have talked about the Blushing Beauty Collection on their videos, but I actually prefer the Little Black Dress palette instead.
