From Egg to Cube: Balmi the Cube

A very quick post  - I saw the Balmi Cubes in Boots today.

This is Balmi’s redesign for spring/summer 2013 collection. Apparently it has been launched since April (and exclusively in Tesco since March), but I don’t seem to have seen many coverage online from beauty bloggers (or at least from the ones I read regularly: Fleur de Force, Sprinkle of Glitter, Essie Button, Zoella, to name a few), until I randomly stumbled across in Boots today.

Everyone should know how moisturizing Balmi lip balms are by now. The redesigned Balmi Cubes have the same four flavours: Raspberry, Strawberry, Coconut and Mint. They are the same super moisturizing with Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil.  They all have SPF 15 which make them perfect for the summer. The colours are super cute that you have to show them off by putting them on your keyrings.

Unlike the original round ones that the balm inside is egg shaped. Inside the new Cube, it is a pointed pyramid shape! Very cute!

The only thing is the actual quantity of balm looks a bit less than the original egg shaped balm. I went online to check and compare, but it was a bit confusing.. The original egg balm had 10ml of product, the new Cube  has 7g of product, the price of both old and new are the same at £4.99. How is 10ml compared to 7g? I am not quite sure. I can only say from looking at both products in my hand, I think the new pointy balm is a bit less than the half-domed balm.

I would say if you have already got the original Balmi, there is not rush to get the new Cube. However, if you are new to Balmi, then this new Cube is too cute to be missed!

(* at the time of writing, Boots has a 3 for 2 mix & match offer across selected skincare products, and Balmi is within the offer, so why not share the Balmis with your family and friends!)

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
