Sneak Peak: Chanel Summer Collection 2013

Guys, I have a real treat for you today.

Chanel Summer Collection 2013 ''L'ete Papillon de Chanel" is probably the most anticipated summer collection in the beauty world. Inspired by the colours on butterfly wings, the colours in the collection are vibrant and intense. This is a big collection with 6 eye shadows, 5 mascaras, 3 lipglosses, 2 rouge coco shine lipsticks and 3 nail polishes.

I am so excited to give you a sneak peak today as I am very lucky to have a mascara and an eye shadow stick from the collection.

First up is the mascara. The shade I have is No 57 Blue Note. It is a waterproof formula. The wand has a soft joint so it is flexible for easy application. The colour is intense. I put it on as a second coat over my black mascara, the electric blue showed thought beautifully.

The eye shadow stick I have is No 07 Moon River. Platinum it was described. It is a shimmery taupe colour - perfect as a all-over-lid colour to give an easy and simple look, or it could be used as an inner corner highlight to bright up the eyes.

Chanel describes the eye shadow has a cooling effect to it, and yes it does! It has a slight minty feel to it when applying, but the minty feeling disappeared quite quickly so don't worry, it would not irritate your eyes.

A note of warning - You have to work fast with this eye shadow as it sets really quickly. And once it sets, it is not going to move.

I have chosen to keep these two products to show you because I think they are the most wearable colours in collection (sorry, I am not quite yet adventurous with vibrant colours). But don't get me wrong, the other colours in the collection are soooo beautiful that in hindsight, I should have kept them all as collectors items.

The summer collection is out in the UK on 31st May.

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
