Drugstore Limited Edition Products: Sleek Blush Palatte & Barry M Nail Polishes

With the high end brands such as Dior and Chanel have gradually launched their summer collection/ limited edition recently, drugstore brands have launched their own limited editions too! The two brands that caught my eye are Sleek and Barry M.

 Eye Palette from Candy Collection

Sleek has launched a limited edition collection called "Candy". The Candy collection has a lip paint, an eye shadow palette & a blush palette. I am not a fan of lip paint. The colours in the eye palette are too colourful & too vibrant for my style, they are beautiful tho.

However the blush palette are the star in the collection. I am a big fan of Sleek's blush palette, I have almost every palette. The colours are vibrant & they last all day.

This trio in Candy collection are as high quality.  Three blushes are in different textures too - cream, matte & shimmery! What a unique palette with all the textures in one place! Perfect for handbags or travel kit when you can't decide which textures or shades to pick!

Another huge part of my make up collection is nail polishes. Never can have too much, because no two shades are the same. The trend recently are playing big on textures. So when I saw this Barry M limited edition nail polishes, I just cannot resist!

From left to right: Sour Apple, Dolly Mixture, Marshmallow, Bubblegum and Liquorice.

If you have seen the feather texture collection from Nails inc, this Barry M collection is Nails Inc's dupe. The bottles have very fine stripes of confetti in them to mimic the apperance of feathers.

I have picked up three of them. I used Moire Green from & Other Stories as a base colour, Barry M as top coats.

As you can see, the effect is quite subtle, the confetti are not too intense. However, I suspect you could get a morw dramatic look if you pair with a darker base colour.

Have any of these caught your eyes yet?

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
