Burberry Nail Polish in Ash Rose: An up-dupe to Nails Inc Porchester Square

Despite we are still in winter, recently I am getting back to my nude nails. Like many beauty bloggers, I couldn’t stress enough about my love to Nails Inc Porchester Square for those “not-sure-what-colour-to-wear” days, the nude beige Porchester Square never fails.

However, when I discovered Burberry’s nail polishes range at John Lewis, I have been falling head over heels in their colours. And my favourite has to be No 103 Ash Rose.
The packaging is beautiful with the Burberry signature patterned cap.
The colour is very similar to Porchester Square – a cream beigey nude. But there is something about this shade that makes my fingers look longer and more elegant. I just can’t help but stare at my own hands all the time!

The texture is thick that basically one coat is good to go. The thick texture also gives a gel-like high gloss finish, although I personally still put a quick-dry top coat to speedy up the drying process.
The brush is wide and dense, one stoke is enough to cover the entire nail, and the consistency of the polish is so creamy that it applies like a dream. With a good base coat (Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab base coat or Orly Bonder base coat), the colour could easily last for a week without chipping.

Why an up-dupe? When Nails Inc Gel Effect polish is priced at £14, Burberry nail polish is only £15!! Just £1 more and you are a proud owner of a classy brand, beautiful formulated and exquisite designed bottle of nail polish.

I will definitely pick up more shades from the range. Burberry is famous for their timeless design, this concept extends to their nail polish colours too! They have a range of neutral shades, as well we some timeless colours like Poppy Red and Poppy Black.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
