Magic Heal to Blemishes : Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

My skin was in trouble with blemishes lately… I guess it’s down to the transitional weather – one week it was summer, then it suddenly got much cooler, then it warmed up again! When the weather couldn’t make up its mind, so as my skin… In the past I tried the Origins Super Spot Remover which every beauty blogger raves about… However, it didn’t agree with my skin. My skin is not that sensitive, but the next morning, it left a red mark around the blemish after I dotted on the solution, and the spot didn’t seem to have gone down anyway…

Recently, I have discovered this “magic solution” that it doesn’t irritate my skin and it really works!! That is the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.
Inside the small glass bottle, the solution is in two layers – clear solution on top and pink powder sink to the bottom. DO NOT SHAKE IT!! I know it’s very tempting, but do not shake it. When you first get it by post (I ordered mine from BeautyBay.com), leave it on the shelf  to let the two tiers separated.

How to apply? Dip a cotton bud all the way down to the pink powder layer, then dab it on the spot. It will dry very quickly and form a thin layer over the spot. The next morning just wash it off. I believe the pink powder stick to the spot and suck out the oil & dirt overnight. My blemishes have visibly calm down after my first use. It works particularly well when the spot is erupting… I know, it sounds gross but it works, and that’s all it matters!

It is not a particularly glamorous sharing, but this solution has really helped me so I hope it will help you too!

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
