Foodie Friday #15 : Ice Coffee On the Rocks, Harris + Hoole, Ealing

Despite the occasional stormy days, London has been consistently hot in the past few weeks. So for my morning coffees, I have been switching from a hot Americano to an iced Americano.

The normal method to make an iced Americano is to pour a shot of hot espresso over a glass of ice, then top up with cold water & more ice.

So when I first went to Harris + Hoole (newly opened in Ealing since mid July) & asked for an iced coffee, I was pleasantly surprised that the barister filled the glass with ice, but then he reached for the fridge & took out a jug of pre-chilled espresso! I think THIS is the proper way to make ice coffees, & I was hooked to their iced Americano & their cafe ever since.

Powerful air con in the hot days, comfy seats, friendly staff, good selection of tasty goodies... Harris + Hoole has swiftly become my favourite coffee shop.

And you know a coffee shop has become a favourite when you have found your favourite seat!

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.
