Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

The latest launch of Hourglass new foundation stick seems to me an understate event. It was launch in July in the US and in August in the UK. With the love of the UK beauty bloggers to the brand, I was surprise that there hasn't been that much mentioned in their videos or blog posts, whereas in the past every beauty blogger would be talking about a Hourglass launch non-stop for months that you cannot get away with it. But this time the media coverage seems to be surprisingly quiet to me...

I have always been using liquid foundations as I always have the impression that foundation stick is dry and will give a cakey look. Little I know that Hourglass has broken this myth!

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick is "A revolutionary foundation stick with the coverage of a concealer, the fluidity of a liquid, and the weightlessness of a powder in a long-wearing waterproof formula for undetectable full coverage. The unprecedented concentration of pigment in this foundation provides maximum coverage with minimum product, concealing all discolouration and imperfections for virtually perfect skin with a seamless finish. Satin Finish. Coverage is buildable full."

Not always that I will agree with the product claim, but this time the foundation stick does exactly as it claims!

I dab the foundation all round my face and use the Artis Oval 6 brush to lightly buff it out. Then build up the coverage by more dabbing and buffing to areas that I need more coverage.

The foundation is super pigmented so a little dab goes a long way... and in fact you do have be light-handed with it because the stick is softer than you think!

As it is highly pigmented it does cover up marks and undereye areas pretty well without needing separate concealling.

I have been using it for a month now. It is easy and quick to put on in the morning. I can build it up to a medium coverage for a polish look for work, or wear a sheer layer for weekends. And because it is a stick and slim, I can throw it in my bag to refresh my face if I am going out straight after work. Ideal for travelling that you don't have to worry about spillage, breakage or bottle-sizing... Can't you tell that I am loving it..?

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
