Marc Jacobs Beauty Counter has come to London!

No, you didn't read my title wrong. Marc Jacobs Beauty Counter has secretly come to the capital! It is the counter, the actual COUNTER that you can touch and try out the products! I cannot believe no one has mentioned it!!!

I was actually told by my sister +Cynthy Chui (@beautyorbread), who is 5000 miles away in Hong Kong. When I got her message, I was like "What? a counter? really!?!!!" I right away googled everywhere, I thought it must be an exclusively counter within a department stores like Harrods or Liberty, but nothing. As I was about to give up, I came across DisneyRollerGirl's site and found the location! Right away I hopped on a different train and made a detour after work.

The Marc Jacobs beauty counter is situated inside BookMarc on Mount Street, Mayfair. It was launched quietly about 2 weeks ago. The counter has the whole range: foundation, concealer, blushes, powder, bronzer, lipsticks, nail polishes, makeup brushes, and of course the famous eyeshadow palettes!!!
Top Rows: Lipglosses & Lipsticks
Bottom Rows: Nail Polishes
Top Row: Compact Foundation
Bottom Row: (left) Bronzer  (right) Blusher
Top Row: Concealers
Bottom Row: Liquid Foundations
This section is all about eyes
Top Row: Eyeliners and Mascara
Bottom Row: Eyeshadow palettes
(did you know that Marc Jacobs has small trios palettes too?)
The staff was super friendly! He was encouraging me to try out everything, and to take foundation samples away to try.

I was so exciting & speechless & was just overwhelmed! I just couldn't believe that I was "confronted" with the full stand of Marc Jacobs makeup!

Of course I couldn't leave the shop empty handed!
I tried their lipsticks but couldn't decide on a colour (creamy formula with scrumptious vanilla scent!). But one of the blusher just caught my eye.

Packaging is like a little clam. Really cute! It comes in a fabric pouch and a little brush.
Note the size

It is the Shamless Bold Blush in number 212 Outspoken (£24).
It is a gorgeous purpley orchid colour. I don't have this colour in my collection and it is beautiful! When I swatched it in the shop, it was pigmented & had a satin finish.
I think I am going to just admire it for a couple of days before I would actually dip my brush in!!

As I was paying for my brush, the staff was still reminding me, "Do feel free to come back if you need any other shades to try out on the foundation". Top class services!

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.
