Foodie Friday #9: Bond & Brook in Fenwick, London

Fenwick Bond Street is a through and through hidden gem - Not only you can find some couture brands that you can't find in a mainstream department store, but recently my sister (@beautyorbread) & I have discovered their exquisite restaurant, Bond & Brook.

Bond & Brook is on the 2nd floor of Fenwick. It is an all day restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. (not dinner I am afraid as the restaurant closes with the store). My sister & I went there for lunch on a Saturday.

The decor was white, silvery & sleek, airy & bright. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable.

I had the seared tuna salad (you can opt for tinned tuna if you don't fancy raw tuna). Dressing was minimal, it made the dish so clean & refreshing. Perfect for a summer lunch.

My sister had the tomato & ham omelet. It came with a generous portion of salad!

Normally we would not have desserts but as we were enjoying the environment so much that we decided to turn this simple lunch into a luxury lunch and went for desserts & coffee.

I chose the dark chocolate mousse with syrupy figs, fig ice cream and pop corns. If you are serious about your chocolate mousse, this is it! First, the presentation was so beautiful, it looked like a dish from the Masterchef final. The texture of mousse was smooth & melt in the mouth, flavour was rich! I wish they gave me a bigger dollop of the fig ice cream to last me the whole bar of chocolate mousse. I was enjoying it up to about 3/4 of the bar, I was struggling a bit with the rest.

My sister had the macaroons. The four macaroons were not minis, they were the normal size! They were light & fluffy!

My coffee came with a little silvery container of smarties - that was so cute! A sprinkle of colours in a white restaurant - this little touch matched with their menu.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. We were planning to come back to try their afternoon tea. I think that would be exquisite!

Bond & Brook is a destination by itself, and Fenwick's sale will start on 25th June, will you be tempted to drop by?

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
