& Other Stories

Thanks to Lily Pebble's haul video (http://www.whatihearttoday.com/2013/03/other-stories-haul.html), I realised that & Other Stories is not just an online shop, but they have an actual shop on Regent Street, London.

So how can I resist paying a visit! Even it is freezing and sleeting outside on a Sunday afternoon.

It is just 30 seconds away from Oxford Circus. However, it is not the easier shop to find because there was no big sign to say "HEY, WE ARE NEW! COME IN!". Nope, instead the window display is subtle and minimalist. Very much look The White Company in a way.

& Other Stories sell clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery, body care stuff, and of course, cosmetics (their own brand, and some other brands as well.

Clothes are slightly on the expensive side, so I just had a quick browse and went straight to the makeup and bodycare section.

They have a full range of lovely nails polishes, blushes, lipsticks, lip glosses... you name it! The nail polishes samples are on a bunch of lollipop sticks with the name of the polish written on them, so cute!! And they have some quirky colours that I haven not seen anywhere else.

At the one side, there is a sink where they display all their body scrubs and hand soaps, you are free to try on all the flavours. I picked up the Moroccan Tea shower gel and Lemon Daydream body scrub, they both smell heavenly.

So, here are what I picked up:

"Lemon Daydream" Body Scrub - £7
"Moroccan Tea" Shower Gel - £5
"Carda Red Lame" Lip Gloss - £7
"Moire Green" Nail Colour - £5
"Linen White" Eye Pencil (not white, it is a nude colour) - £6

If you are happened to be on London, definitely should go to check it out. I would definitely go back regularly.

"Are you serious?" I know what you are thinking. Wetherspoon pubs have revamped their menu and food quality, but the price has stayed low.

Budget Buy: MUA nail polish in Natural Days

When I was in Superdrug to buy the Tiffany colours (NYC nail polishes  - check out my blog post here ), as the offer was 3 for 2 across all nail polishes, I picked up a MUA polish as my freebie. I saw this pastel baby pink colour in Natural Days. The colour looks really cute in the bottle.

Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum

Lately I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum . In the past I tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, it was alright but I didn’t find the result that amazing. So when I got a sample of for this Estee Lauder Enlighten Serum, I didn’t have high hopes … But how wrong I was! The sample bottle lasted me for two generous weeks and after that I rushed out to get the full size. Although it is called a serum, it is a light milky lotion texture, it is easily absorbed into skin and it feels moisturising. With the sample bottle, I used it every night after my cleansing routine. I can see visible results to my face after two weeks. My blemish marks are significantly lighter (my main concern) and the skin tone for the rest of my face is visibly more even.  Now I have the full size bottle (30ml, also available in 50ml size), I am going to follow the instructions to use it both day and night. Use it at night to reduce
